What is the team of our lady ?

xResurrection01.jpgA team of Our Lady is a little community of the Church formed by 5 to 7 couples accompanied by a priest, who brings them doctrinal and spiritual support ; who place themselves under the protection of the Virgin Mary. The team is, itself, a cell of a larger community of married spirituality - the international movement of the Teams of Our Lady - within which the small team agrees to share the life, the spirit and the charter. The mutual help and fraternal love practised within the team helps couples, whose love is already sanctified by the sacrament of marriage, to grow in Christ and to put their love at the service of the Kingdom, making all of their activities a collaboration with the work of God and a service to humankind.

The second wind
When the Charter of Teams of Our Lady was promulgated forty years ago, no one could foresee the changes which would occur in the Movement, the Church and the world. History may change, but the charism of Teams, the original spiritual gift, is still working through the signs of the times to inspire couples in the service of love. As you read these pages, we hope you will find new reasons to feel encouraged about the future of Teams, and that these and the suggestions for living out your aspirations within and for the Movement will fill you with the hope and vitality of a Second Wind.

'Being on the road' means letting oneself be carried along by the events and by things without necessarily being able to make sense of them. ‘Taking to the road', in contrast, means opening oneself up to new demands because it implies the decision to start a trip, to think about the route to be taken, to experience the preparation time that brings alive the sensation of expectation and waiting, and above all, it allows one to realise that ‘being on the road' is our new state of being. This state of being creates different behaviour in us. It gives us new words to tackle everyday life in its little and large aspects and to look at the way history is unfolding around us and how we are actors within that history."

The meeting of the International Leading Team

A meeting of the International Leading Team (ERI) took place in Lebanon from October 23rd to November 1st, 2009.

The next meeting of the International Leading Team (ERI) will be held in Paris from February 18th to 23rd, 2010.
