For all the unknown Saints we only celebrate on All Saints’ Day.
For all the martyred Saints from times gone by, for all the martyred saints of today, all over the world.
For all the Saints who are in heaven simply because they did their job with all their heart.
For all the Saints who died on the battlefield of work.
For all the Saints who are in heaven because they loved each other with all their hearts within their marriage and because they raised a family.
For all the female Saints who are in heaven simply because they cleaned and looked after the house to the best of their ability.
For all the Saints who are in heaven because they gave without counting the cost.
For all the Saints who are in heaven for having avoided bringing attention to themselves, and who simply remained in their place.
For all the unknown Saints who were scorned or accused.
For all the Saints who did not know they were saints.
For all the Saints whom we have known and who lived amongst us.
For all the Saints who know the effort it takes to find their way out of the woods.
For all the Saints who did nothing extraordinary in their lives, but who put so much love into each and every one of their actions, pray with us.
Amen.
