For those who believe in Jesus Christ, the year does not begin on January 1st nor end on December 31st.

During the private audience granted to the participants of the conference, Pope Francis reiterated that respect and acceptance of life are not only a problem of faith or religion but represent the indispensable response to the culture of "waste". We are all called to intensify pastoral and communion responses to help overcome the practical, human and spiritual difficulties of families living in solitude and trial.
