Who are the Intercessors?<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pr\u00e9sentation des Intercesseurs - FATIMA 2018\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HQJ6nMFbIyk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Strengthened by this idea that everyone can be called to intercede, the \u2018Intercessors\u2019 Family\u2019 invites its members, in line with Father Caffarel\u2019s thinking, to find themselves in a Church Movement to pray for Christian marriage and the family.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0074b8;\">God counts on our prayer of intercession.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">During his talks, Father Caffarel often spoke of it:<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The Christian who prays fulfils the call that Jesus allows him hear in the secret of his soul, the very one that God already addressed to the those under the Ancient Law: My son, give me your heart.\u00a0Give me your heart, your lips, your life. \u00a0I wish to adore the Father in you and through you, to sing his praises, to give him thanks for his great glory and invincible love, to continue my immense intercession for humanity in distress.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n(Letters about Prayer \u2013 1961)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Who are we today?<\/h3>\n<p>The family of \u2018Intercessors\u2019 developed over the years and has evolved in response to new needs. \u00a0It spread throughout the world, all the while maintaining its specific nature.<br \/>\nThrough its members\u2019 intercession, a continuous chain of prayer is maintained both day and night, prayer to which a great number of couples are united in love\u2026without mentioning all the other graces obtained.<br \/>\nPrayer, fasting and the daily offering up of one\u2019s life are the three ways of becoming an Intercessor.<\/p>\n<p>A chain of intercession is thus created thanks to the commitment of the members of this large family as everyone assumes their personal responsibility in complete consciousness of their faith.<\/p>\n<p>Without necessarily knowing each other, the Intercessors feel connected to each other through the Quarterly Letter that they receive along with specific personal intentions. \u00a0They also get together in France for retreats at Massabielle that are specifically designed for them and where the teachings are oriented around prayer and intercession.<\/p>\n<p>An international organisational team is at the service of the Intercessors and is helped by a Spiritual Counsellor.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/equipes-notre-dame.com\/sites\/default\/files\/48_pres_8sept_roberty_fr.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/equipes-notre-dame.com\/sites\/default\/files\/p1060681.jpg\" width=\"261\" height=\"174\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/equipes-notre-dame.com\/sites\/default\/files\/les_intercesseurs_ds_le_monde_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2192\u00a0Discover the presenc<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/equipes-notre-dame.com\/sites\/default\/files\/les_intercesseurs_ds_le_monde_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">e of the Intercessors in the world.<br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/equipes-notre-dame.com\/sites\/default\/files\/livret_intercesseurs_pour_rome_ang.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2192 Download the Information booklet about the Intercessors<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/equipes-notre-dame.com\/sites\/default\/files\/48_pres_8sept_roberty_ang.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2192\u00a0Read the intervention of G\u00e9rard and Marie-Christine de Roberty in Rome : Third International Gathering of Regional Couples &#8211; September 2015.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>2. Intercessors Prayer<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Intention g\u00e9n\u00e9rale<\/strong> : Seigneur, Tu nous as donn\u00e9 Marie comme M\u00e8re et mod\u00e8le pour nos familles. Aide-nous \u00e0 faire de notre famille un lieu o\u00f9 l\u2019amour, la paix et la joie r\u00e8gnent. Que chacun soit bienveillant, doux, attentionn\u00e9, patient. Que chacun ne voit que le bien dans l\u2019autre. Que les \u00e9poux soient remplis de tendresse l\u2019un pour l\u2019autre. Que nous soyons unis dans les joies comme dans les \u00e9preuves gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la pri\u00e8re. Que la pri\u00e8re soit au c\u0153ur de notre famille. There is a time for truly happy moments and a time for ordeals that we never wished to face. We could complain, but that is not helpful. It is better to look, if possible, to the future, and seek to see how or what we are experiencing contributes to life, to love.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Father Caffarel will enlighten us. <em>\u00abAvidity, lies, presumption, precipitation, so many defects that are more or less found in all types of young love. It is only with time, it is only when tested (and the test of time is not the smallest of tests) that the defects of youth are gradually corrected by love. Then, affirmed and confirmed, it enters into a new phase. The spiritual masters teach us that man in his quest for God must first purify himself during the first stage of the spiritual journey, that they call, \u201cthe purgative life.\u201d Only afterwards will he enter into the \u201cilluminative life,\u201d where the stress will be put on, no longer the defects to be corrected, but on the progress to be made in love. This passage from one path to the other is called the \u201csecond conversion.\u201d This is a general law of love, of all love, and therefore of married love.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">In the course of a couple\u2019s life, love seeks to purify itself so that it can progressively become more vigorous and beautiful. There are probably prerequisite passages. The light or shadows can alternate up until the moment when a certain stability is established. The ordeals themselves can become fruitful because, freed from their weight, they show us that the love that is in us is stronger than we thought: it holds strong. The ordeals also tell us that it is possible to love each other beyond everything else. Father Caffarel talks about a \u201csecond conversion.\u201d It becomes the strong foundation of life. Love and its joy develop. Tremors can still occur\u2026 The essential thing has been experienced and lived through and hope is there. We can get through the ordeal more serenely.<\/p>\n<p>The Lord leads us therefore through our human love to one where his divine love comes to reside.<\/p>\n<p align=\"right\"><strong><em>Father Paul-Dominique Marcovits, o.p., <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Spiritual Counsellor to the Intercessors<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #f86c3b;\">Intercession is not a speciality, nor a particular mystical state.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1107 alignright\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/prions.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"124\" \/>It\u2019s open to all Christians, who enter in to prayer with the Lord.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s a prayer of communion with the Spirit and with the Father\u2019s desire that all be saved.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s a prayer, inspired by the Spirit that is attentive to the salvation of all, to the healing of all wounds, the most hidden and secret ones as well as the most visible ones.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s the offering up of our lives, with Christ, in favour of our closest and most distant brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>May they pray\u2026 for every home and most especially for those who particularly count on them.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>P\u00e8re Henri Caffarel.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Intercessors\u2019 Prayer:<\/h3>\n<div>God, Our Father,<br \/>\nYou sent your beloved Son to save the world.
