On Saturday May 27th, 2017, a gathering/pilgrimage of Teams of Our Lady members from the Super-Region of Poland and Central Europe was held. Every year, this kind of gathering is organised at a Polish Marian shrine.
This year, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Movement’s presence in Poland. A mass celebrated by Cardinal Nycz, Archbishop of Warsaw, was the highlight of this meeting. We wanted to thank God for the establishment and development of Teams in Poland and in the neighbouring countries that belong to our Super-Region: Byelorussia, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
We were lucky enough to welcome José & Maria Moura Soares, the Responsible Couple for the International Leading Team, Father Jacinto Farias SCI, Spiritual Counsellor to the International Leading Team, the Liaison Couple for the Central Europe Zone, Mahassen & Georges Khoury, couples from France and Lebanon, as well as numerous couples from our Super-Region: Byelorussia, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Latvia and a couple from a Polish team in Germany.
The day was very busy with talks, prayers, testimonials from couples living their married spirituality and moments of group sharing. We watched a stirring show that depicted Father Caffarel’s various meetings with couples who came to see him and that was based on his book, “Letters on Prayer.”
More than 500 people took part in this gathering, from older couples who have belonged to the Movement since its beginnings in Poland to younger couples who are very numerous in joining Teams.
