The First Teams in Ghana!

In September 2015 Robert & Mary were invited, along with Fr Martin of Prinknash Abbey, England, our Team Chaplain, to go to Ghana and introduce Teams of Our Lady.  Their base was the Kristo Buase Monastery (KBM) near Techiman in the Ashanti Region.  Kristo Buase (Christ among the rocks) is a daughter monastery of Prinknash Abbey.  So, on 12th April the three of them flew from Heathrow to Accra, where we were met by Fr Ambrose the superior of KBM, Ibrahim his co-driver and Gladys Naadi with whom we have been in email contact since meeting her 2 years previously.  They spent the night in Accra at the guesthouse of the Divine Word Missionaries. After an exhausting 7-hour drive north into the centre of the country, they arrived at their base, the Kristo Buase Monastery. Following a meeting with the local Bishop, they were invited to give a pulpit talk in the pro-cathedral and eager couples emerged. Two teams have been started, and their piloting will continue with remote (email) piloting support. The abbot and monks of KBM are very supportive and they are providing the first team chaplains.

Please pray for these couples that they will discover the joy of Teams and choose to continue in the Movement once the piloting is over.
