Since Father Caffarel’s Appeal in 1960, the Intercessors, in the same communion of prayer, have spread. This openness to the world, linked to that of the Teams of Our Lady, has gradually become more structured. A fundamental reflection was carried out for several years within the Intercessors’ Animation Team. It led to the creation of an International Team for the Animation of Intercessors, the EIAI, in 2018, during the Gathering of the Team of Our Lady in Fatima, and to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Intercessors in 2020:
- Edition of a History of Intercessors.
- Creation of a new logo.
Fratelli tutti! As Pope Francis reminds us in his encyclical, we are “all brothers” in Christ, in the same communion of prayer, intercession, fraternity, heart and spirit. To live by the Spirit of intercession is a strong call to become ever more disciples of Christ, who died and rose for us, loving God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and to love our neighbour as ourselves.
The two open hands bring us into this fraternal communion of prayer, in the opening of the heart, towards our neighbour (near or far).
The cross of Christ refocuses us on Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
The motto “Watch and Pray” – Mt 26:41 – is a strong request of Christ on the evening of Gethsemane: Watch and Pray so as not to “enter into temptation”. Prayer at the heart of our Faith.
